  • Dogs are required to be current with their annual vaccinations (Distemper, Hepatitis, Parainfluenza, Parvovirus) and kennel cough vaccine (Bordetella) to stay at the kennel. Proof of vaccines are required annually and will be copied for kennel records.

  • We require these vaccines be given 14 days prior to the dogs stay.

  • We require current Rabies vaccine.

  • We require current monthly treatment of external parasites.

  • Veterinary recommendation in the form of a signed note will be accepted if these vaccines/treatments are not current due to illness or age.

  • Dogs left for grooming with current vaccinations will be allowed to participate in social play. Grooming dogs not vaccinated will be kept separate and are left at owner's risk. We highly recommend parasite protection, annual, kennel cough and rabies vaccines be current.

  • Dogs left at the kennel exhibiting any sign of sickness (coughing, wheezing, sneezing, choking, gagging, vomiting, runny nose, lethargic, open wounds, limping, ear/eye infections...) will be sent home immediately. If you are unavailable to pick up your dog, he/she will be strictly quarantined and taken immediately to the local vet. Owners will be responsible for vet bills, travel, time, disinfecting and destruction (due to quarantine) costs. A signed doctor's note will be accepted if your dog is coughing due to medical reasons (lung cancer, asthma, allergies, collapsing trachea...).

  • The pet owner agrees to allow for routine inspection and quarantine of the pet.

  • Dogs left at the kennel with parasites (fleas/ticks/lice) will be sent directly home or treated at owners cost (time/travel/disinfecting/vet bills/medicine/shampoo...) and dogs strictly quarantined. Owners will not be allowed to return to the kennel without proof of parasite protection a minimum of 4 days prior to subsequent drop offs.

  • Full payment is due on the day of pickup via cash, cheque or e-transfer. Monthly daycare invoices are due on the last day of each month. Outstanding bills are subject to admin fees and compounding interest.

  • Bakers Acres Kennels is not responsible for lost or damaged items left with the pet. The pet owner acknowledges that the pet’s collar may be removed to prevent injury to himself or others.

  • The pet owner allows for veterinary care if it is required. In the event the owner is not available, Bakers Acres Kennels will make the decision in the best interest of the pet and following veterinarian’s advice for any care required. The pet owner is fully responsible for the cost of such medical care, travel and time costs.

  • The pet owner acknowledges that even regular vaccinations cannot completely guard against illness and disease. The pet owner understands that there may be risks regarding the contraction of illness when leaving the pet at Bakers Acres Kennels. Bakers Acres Kennels assumes no responsibility for any illness, death or disease.

  • The pet owner is responsible for any damage or injury caused by their pet to animals, humans, equipment or the facility.

  • Bakers Acres Kennels assumes no responsibility for loss, injury or damage suffered as a result of the actions of the pet.

  •  Any pets left 2 weeks after departure date without contact by the pet owner are subject to re-homing. All efforts will be made to contact the pet owner and the emergency contact according to the information given on the application form.

We reserve the right to deny service or admittance to anyone not following kennel policies.
